Code of Ethics
This is a list of values and practices important to me that have been identified throughout my time working as a model, performer, and photographer/videographer. These values are established as my baseline standard and I am continuing to add to this page as I grow and learn as a human and artist.
Your body, your consent, forever.
You can opt in or out to your content being used publicly at any time, no questions asked.
The only reason I would post your content to my social media or website would be to share examples of my art and showcase to potential clients what they can expect their shoot results to look like. Never to make a profit using your images/videos, never to excessively promote.
I will never use your nude images or videos in any public space whatsoever, even if they are censored, without your permission. If you do feel comfortable with your content being shared publcily, I have a model release form for you to sign that also states you can rescind your consent of its use at any time with written request and I will remove all of your images to my best and quickest ability. I have also created a questionnaire that gets sent along with your model release form that will capture all of your preferences for how and where you feel comfortable with your photos/videos being shared. Please reference this page with examples of the model release form and questionnaire. In addition, if you go by a stage name, I use that stage name every step of the way including file naming so that you get the most protection possible. Your full legal name is only used for legal contracts and is kept private.
Your privacy is my top priority. Your gallery will be delivered digitally through Pixieset, the hosting platform I use. Every gallery is not publicly listed, requires a unique password to enter, and requires a download pin in order to save the high resolution version of your images. All videos are delivered using a secure cloud service called MEGA and a private link will be sent to you to access and download your videos. If you would like to request that your images/videos be wiped from my computer, cards, and hard drives as well as from the private digital gallery (or MEGA drive for videos) once you have downloaded them, please let me know and we will add that clause to your contract before signing or amend your contract to include that preference at any time after signing and/or shooting.
Your shoot is your time. While I am totally fine with you setting up your phone to record or bringing a friend to capture BTS content, I will never have another camera set up to record BTS content of our shoot. I would much rather have all of my attention focused on you and capturing the best photos/videos instead of splitting my focus with my phone. It is also important to me to respect the intimacy of our time together, the vulnerability that you are sharing with me, and protect that as sacred.
I will never pressure you to do things you are not comfortable with. This includes but is not limited to, photographing or filming any nudity, choice of location/duration of the shoot, or discussion of your insecurities or pressuring you to push through them for certain shots/poses.
I will never photoshop or alter your body in any way in post-production. While all of my offerings include appropriate color-correcting and minimal blemish removal (including but not limited to pimples, stray hairs, unfortunate lint, etc), I will never warp or change your figure, remove wrinkles/stretchmarks/markings, or smooth the image to hide "flaws." A main component of my work is celebrating, honoring, and uplifting humans and their bodies and that includes all of the little details that make you you. Wrinkles, veins, rolls, stretchmarks, and all. I want you to look at a photo I took of you and want to cry or laugh because you see how magnificent and beautiful you are as you are, not because someone artificially manufactured it. If you have a specific insecurity you'd like me to keep in mind during the session (mine is hiding my bent and crooked Erb's Palsy arm and shoulder), we can work together to find the best poses and shots that will make you forget all about it when you look at your final photos/videos. We all deserve to coexist with the things we love and feel insecure about our bodies without feeling like they need to be changed or removed to be beautiful.
